Dear friends,

We’re writing to invite you to a special event this Thursday, May 5th at the New Orleans Museum of Art at 7:30. Hosted by the New Orleans Film Alliance in association with the Sync Up Conference, “Film, Music and You: Designing an Intimate Media Experience” will showcase interactive media produced by Google, Arcade Fire, and Tutti Dynamics, clips from Tradition is a Temple and live performances by Jason Marsalis, Shannon Powell, Lucien Barbarin and Chuck Perkins.

The event is free and open to the public.

Please join us for a prompt 7:30 start – we don’t want you to miss a minute of the fun! Our fully packed program will showcase these two exciting projects:

“Cinema In Concert” // A multi-dimensional media event that combines live and recorded performances by Shannon Powell, Jason Marsalis, Lucien Barbarin and Chuck Perkins with innovative media displays by
Tutti Dynamics. An interactive media company with headquarters in New Orleans, Tutti Dynamics produces music content for use in mobile applications, educational software, movies and music albums. The program will incorporate discussion with the featured musicians, Tutti Founder and Tradition is a Temple Director Darren Hoffman and New Orleans Film Alliance Founder Bryan Bailey about how changes in technology are impacting local music traditions.

“The Wilderness Downtown” // A music/cinema/digital media collaboration between Arcade Fire, Chris Milk, and the Google Chrome HTML 5 development team. Thomas Gayno, from Google, will be in attendance to discuss the project and its implications on the future of entertainment and engagement with audiences.

You are encouraged to bring friends and/or spread the word. Here is the facebook event page:
